| Welcome to SICOM & AOCO 2024, proudly hosted by AOASO in collaboration with SOMS, a full member of WOF. In the past, AOCO was a biennial academic conference for the Asia-Oceania region, held only in odd-numbered years. However, the flood of new information in obesity research makes a biennial conference inadequate. Therefore, following last year’s success, we have organized AOCO alongside SICOM, the international academic conference spearheaded by SOMS. From this year onward, AOCO will be an annual congress. The purpose of SICOM & AOCO 2024 is not just to share the experiences of outstanding obesity experts from the Asia-Oceania region but to revolutionize how researchers and clinicians in our region network and collaborate. We are determined to elevate the status of obesity research in the Asia-Oceania region by uniting the most passionate professionals in the field. We strongly urge you to attend and seize this unparalleled opportunity to strengthen our bonds and push the boundaries of our field. Once again, a resounding welcome to all of you. |
