Registration

Q. How do I register for the congress?

A. Please read the registration guidelines and complete the registration by paying with a credit card or bank transfer.

Q. What are the registration deadlines?

Early-bird Registration: Before Sunday, September 15, 2024

Regular Registration: Before Sunday, October 6, 2024

 

Q. Is pre-registration mandatory for authors whose abstracts are accepted?

A. Yes, pre-registration is required to confirm your attendance.

 

Q. How do I cancel my registration?

A. Please refer to the cancellation guidelines on the website and fill out the cancellation form. The registration fee is refundable before the regular registration deadline (Sunday, 6 October, 2024).

 

Q. Is it possible to get a group registration discount?

A. The congress does not offer group registration discounts.

 

Q. How can I get the receipt for my registration?

A. You can print your receipt from the congress website after paying your registration fee.

 

Q. How much is the registration fee and what does it cover?

A. Please refer to the registration guidelines on the website for details. The registration fee covers your participation for the duration of the congress, including social programs.

 

Q. Are there any discounts?

A. There are no discounts.

 

Q. How can I confirm my registration?

A. Upon completing the online registration, a confirmation email will be automatically sent to the email address you provided in the registration form.

 

Abstract Submission

Q. How can I submit my abstract?

A. Please submit your abstract online on the congress website.

 

Q. Can I submit my abstract via email?

A. No, emailed abstracts are not accepted. Please use the online submission system.

 

Q. What is the time zone for submission deadlines?

A. The deadlines are based on KST (Korea Standard Time).

 

Q. Can I submit multiple abstracts?

A. Yes, multiple submissions are welcome.

 

Q. Can I modify my abstract after submission?

A. Yes, you can modify your abstract on the website before the abstract submission deadline (September 20, 2024).

 

Q. Can my presentation type be changed?

A. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific committe. The committee may change the preferred presentation type to effectively organize the program. Acceptance / rejection of abstracts will be notified to the submitters on the date of notification of abstract acceptance. Notification will be sent via email.


Scholarship

Q. How do I apply for the scholarship to attend SICOM & AOCO 2024?

A. There is no separate application process for the scholarship. By submitting an abstract, overseas researchers are automatically considered for the scholarship based on the country of the author listed in the submission.

 

Q. What are the benefits of the scholarship?

A. Scholarship recipients will receive a travel grant, complimentary registration for all authors including co-authors, and an award certificate.

 

Q. Who is eligible for the scholarship?

A. Scholarships are awarded to overseas presenters, including foreigners residing in Korea, who submit outstanding abstracts that are accepted. In-person attendance is required to receive the scholarship. Scholarship recipients must meet the above eligibility criteria.

 

Q. When will I know if I have been awarded a scholarship?

A. Scholarship recipients will be notified via email following the review process by the scientific committee. Notifications will be sent out on Friday, September 30, 2024, along with the notification of abstract acceptance.

 

Q. Do I need to submit any additional documents to be considered for the scholarship?

A. No additional documents are required beyond the abstract submission. Review will be based on the quality of the submitted abstract.

 

Q. If I receive a scholarship, how will the travel grant be provided?

A. Details regarding receiving the travel grant will be provided to scholarship recipients in the scholarship notification email.

 

Q. Are there any requirements if I win the scholarship?

A. Scholarship recipients must submit a copy of their passport to verify overseas participation.

Travel and Accommodation

Q. Is Yangjae-dong in Seoul?

A. Yes, Yangjae-dong is a district within Seoul, Republic of Korea.

 

Q. Which is the closest airport to Yangjae-dong?

A. The closest airport is Incheon International Airport.

 

Q. Where can I find nearby hotels?

Q. Is there any discount for the accommodation? How can I reserve a room?

A. There are no discounts for accommodation. Each participant needs to reserve their accommodation by themselves.

 

Q. Do I need a Visa to travel to Korea?

A. Please check if you are eligible for visa-free entry. More details are available on the website(https://www.sicom.or.kr/register/2024_01/general/sub03.html).

 

Q. What documents can be provided for the attendees’ VISA process?

A. We can provide an official invitation letter and a business registration certificate if you are registered and request these documents.

 

General

Q. Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

A. Yes, if you registered and participated in the congress, then certificate of attendance will be distributed 2-3 weeks after the congress, following verification of attendance.

 

Q. Can I attend virtually?

A. No. The congress is held in person only; virtual attendance is not available.

 

Q. Where will SICOM & AOCO 2024 take place?

A. SICOM & AOCO 2024 will take place at the aT Center, located in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, Korea.

 

Q. When will SICOM & AOCO 2024 take place?

A. The congress will take place from October 24 (Thursday) to October 26 (Saturday), 2024.
